TMSA is a family of the twipuri medical students studying all over India with its Head office at RIMS, Imphal. It is purely a non- political Medical Students' body.
Our Motto:- Established in 29th March, 1978 as The Tripura Tribal Medical Students’ Assn. (TTMSA) with the motto “To learn, to serve”, the association has served as a perfect umbrella to strengthen security to the twiprasa medical students and to guide the students to live as a family sharing helping hands, moments of joys and sorrows and finally to produce doctors with minds and willingness to serve the people to make a better twipra.
Members:- At present, TMSA with its head office at RIMS, Imphal has a total strength of about 45 members which includes – 7 post graduate students, 5 internees and 33 under graduates. It is the prayer of TMSA members that all twipuri medical students studying all over India to join TMSA as members to be a part of the family.
Annual Activities: As the saying goes “No play and work makes Jack a dull boy” we pursue our studies, we play, we sing, we work and we prepare ourselves to become people responsible in our societies. Some of the major annual activities of TMSA are highlighted in brief below :
1. College Foundation Day: - 14th of September is a day we cherish every year when the college celebrates its foundation day with a cultural evening where traditional dances of every state are performed. The TMSA is proud to say that its members have cooperated and given brilliant performances in exhibiting 'The Hojagiri Dance' and 'The Goria Dance' in the last few years with appreciation coming from every viewer watching the exceptional dance.
2. Annual Freshers’ Meet:- How much joy it is for a family when a child is born, similarly, the TMSA members experience those feelings in the Annual Freshers’ Meet held in the month of October when the new fresher are welcomed in the family of TMSA. It is a day when modern kokborok songs, dances, skit and special items are being performed in the presence of invitees and guests from other students' union.
3. Tring:- Tring tring tring gives a ring in our hearts as we celebrate our 'Bisi Kwtal'. 'Advent-Tring', a get together evening where koktang, kokbrok quiz competitions and open sharing by members is organized. A special Tring dinner with wahan mosdeng, godog, awang and other dishes enlightens everyone.

There is tough competition between the two houses and exciting cricket, volley ball, table tennis, football matches are played. Tug-of-war both for male and female is exceptionally interesting. At the end of the day the winner trophy is given to the winning team. The Annual Sports Meet- 06 was held on 26th March 06 together with members from "The Twipra Agri. Students' Association".
5. Farewell meet:- We believe "All is well that ends well". There is a formal farewell meeting for the outgoing doctors where time is given for open sharing by the members to give their best wishes, prayer supports for future and congratulation to the outgoing doctors. We go through emotional moments as the outgoing doctors share their experiences, things they have learnt in the family of TMSA while leaving to the members their love to be cherished forever.
