Renaming Agartala Airport :: Pay Special attention

The present left front Govt. of Tripura led by its Chief Minister ,Shri Manik Sarkar , and Tripura Prodesh Congress Committees legislators aim to renamed the present Agartala Airport after the named of Rabindra Nath Tagore and Sachindra Lal Singh, the first Chief Minister of Tripura respectively in the assembly on different occasion and now passed resolution on Rabindra Nath Tagore name.

Though the great poet and the first Chief Minister had no significant contribution behind the establishment of the said Airport. But it is genuine and an undeniable fact that the Airport was established by Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya ,the last ruler of the oldest kingdom of Tripura who created history in making new Tripura and also the architect of modern Tripura by way of setting up of the first Airport of N.E region at Agartala(India)in the year 1933 including the Schools ,Colleges ,Hospitals ,Kotowali P.S for Security Purposes ,Agartala Town imitating the Connaught Place of New Delhi and so on.

This entire historical places in Tripura are still in exists for his farsightness only. Hence, The present left front government with the help of the Tripura Pradesh Congress legislators have been trying to remove or vanish the entire historical monuments so that the Tripura will not exist itself as an ancient land of the indigenous Borok Tribal Peoples of Tripura so as to unable them to claim as the ancient kingdom of the Indigenous Borok Populations in future. It is one of the glaring instance that on 29th June, 2010 on the floor of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, the left Government have passed a resolution on the said issue and have shown their evil attitude and narrow sense with having the full supports of the so called left tribal legislators towards the indigenous tribal populations as a whole which really leads to ashamed, loathsome and hatred for the entire nation.

So, this type of action plan is very condemnable by any of civil society rather than praise. Every walks of life of this land of law will definitely extend their maximum support and agreed to the government, if the present government is switch on to take up an initiative for setting up new Airport or any memorable structure after the named of Rabindra Nath Tagore in memory of the great poet instead of /inspite of /indespite of to be renamed the said Airport.

The government should keep in mind and take it up that not in the way of forcibly practice of refugee character which will lead to direct hits on communal harmony. The time has come to know one-self to another- self and to be united among the Borok peoples for the sake of its existence irrespective of political colours and ideology and needs henceforth to start a democratic movement unitedly for the greater interest of the Borok /Tiprah nation.

It is mentionable that at present there is none of political party in the state to raise strong protest against the anti tribal policy, action, and programme made by the left front Government except the INPT party who protest it whenever the situation is arises.
