We are a passionate group of young, like-minded individuals dedicated to journalism and the power of media. Our History

Tiprasa.com originally began as boroksite.com on May 24, 2005. Our journey started with the goal of creating a platform to share the true stories and voices of Tripura’s indigenous community. On October 16, 2007, we rebranded to Tiprasa.com, and since then, we have continued to work under this banner, growing and evolving to better serve our community.

Our Focus

The history of Tripura is rich and complex. Once the seat of a mighty kingdom, the indigenous people of Tripura now constitute a minority, making up only about 30% of the state's population. This demographic shift, primarily due to the influx of Bengali settlers from Bangladesh after the partition of India and the 1972 war, has significant implications for the political and social landscape of the state.

In a democratic country like India, where numbers often dictate power and influence, the voices of indigenous people can easily be overshadowed. At Tiprasa.com, we strive to ensure these voices are heard loud and clear. We cover a wide range of topics, from cultural heritage and community issues to political developments and social changes, always through the lens of the indigenous experience.

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing accurate, insightful, and impactful journalism. Our content is driven by a desire to inform, engage, and inspire our readers. We believe in the power of storytelling to bring about positive change and are dedicated to representing the indigenous people of Tripura in all their diversity and resilience.
